Build Our Center, an organization formed to support, educate and advocate for northern Nevada’s LGBTQ community was established as a fundraising arm to secure a brick-and- mortar community center.
The brand name “OUR Center” was derived from “Build Our Center”. The new brand could also be customized across all of their programming, i.e. “OUR Youth”, “OUR Calendar,” etc.
The brand's image design was based on the traditional rainbow theme with a new palette of six brand colors. The new brand palette permeates the entire campaign one color at a time. After completion of the branding process, brand standards and graphics were implemented across all media channels and within the facility. In partnership with OUR Center, we planned a two- day grand opening event to launch the new facility and brand to northern Nevada.
Close to a thousand people walked through the center during its two-day grand opening celebration, which also included a special ribbon cutting by Mayor Hillary Schieve and attendance by many city officials. The new brand was featured on earned media, including print and broadcast.
